Kids Corner

There are lots of ways our youngest supporters can learn about the Pantry and make a difference.
Check ‘em out!

Kindness Club

A group of kids did a food drive for the Pantry in their neighborhood; they walked from door-to-door (with their parents’ permission and supervision) and named their effort the Kindness Club. We liked the idea so much, they gave us permission to launch our own!

Each child who makes a difference will:

  • Receive a Kindness Club certificate

  • Be recognized with a photo on our Facebook page

  • Have the option to tour the Pantry

Kids Tours

Are you leading a group of kids interested in touring the Pantry
or making a difference?  Check out our guidelines for youth groups.

Birthday Bag Cards

Another special option for groups or individuals is decorating
Birthday cards for our Birthday Bag program.

Quick Ideas

Easy Projects

  • Create birthday cards for our Birthday Bag program

Fundraisers

  • Set up a lemonade stand and donate the proceeds

  • Host a garage sale in your neighborhood and give part of the money you make

  • Donate some of the gifts you receive from your birthday or special event

Food Drives

  • Go door-to-door (with an adult along) and collect food from your neighbors; the Pantry’s most needed items are posted on our home page every week!

  • Have a competition between grades or classes to collect the most food at your school

  • Ask people to bring birthday supplies (cake mixes, frosting, candles) to your birthday party; the Pantry needs them for our Birthday Bag program where we give a gift bag to clients on their special day

  • See if your scout troop can go on a scavenger hunt and collect the Pantry’s most needed items
