Food Drives & Individual Donations
Food Drives Coming Up:
· Feb. 18 – 25, Hoops for Hunger Food Drive led by the Pantry Junior Board at Glenbard South High School (23W200 Butterfield Rd., Glen Ellyn) and Glenbard West (670 Crescent, Glen Ellyn)
· Through March 31, Menard’s, 521 E. North Ave., Glendale Heights (shop the grocery aisle at the store and drop donations at the exit)
Individual Donations:
Please bring in donations of SHELF-STABLE groceries ONLY via the back double doors of our house at 55 N. Park Blvd. only during these hours or call us to make alternate arrangements:
Monday/Wednesday/Thursday: 8 am - 4 pm
Tuesday: 8 am - 6 pm; Friday: 9 am - 1 pm
SPECIAL GUIDANCE
Please do NOT leave the following items:
· Any food item that requires refrigeration or freezer storage
· Any food item that is in an opened box/can/container
· Any food item with contents not clearly labeled
· Medicine of any kind
· Alcohol
· Furniture, clothing, appliances, non-food items
Legal Protection for donors:
The Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act of 1996 protects donors and donation sites from legal liability for food donated in good faith.
2025 Food Drive Success
More than 260 food drives collected a total of 73,000 pounds of food in 2025! And $15,000 was donated during the drives. During this record-breaking year, a few food drives really stood out. Click the Food Drive Contest Winners button below to learn more.
Host a Food Drive
Despite being one of the wealthiest counties in the state, DuPage also has thousands of residents at risk of hunger. Help the Pantry “make hunger history!”
Here’s all you have to do:
Register your food drive at least one week in advance (click link on the right)
Arrange to stop by the Pantry to pick up your promo materials including:
Yard signs
Bins to collect food
Receipts for donors
Promote your food drive via emails and Facebook (spread the word!)
Include our most needed items list (updated every week on our website homepage)
Host your food drive – make sure to give receipts to all donors
Make arrangements to drop off the food you collected at the Pantry
Send photos of your Food Drive to the Pantry so we can post on Facebook
